Palestinian State Issues

The world's consensus is that the Jewish settlements in Yehuda and Shomron are illegal, and that the area belongs to the "Palestinians." That consensus is not based on international law. As things stand, Israel's policies are perfectly legal and justified. Therefore, a movement came up to change international law, through a formal decision by the UN after the coming Summer that would grant the "Palestinians" sovereignty, at least in principle, over the territories conquered by Israel in the six-day war.

Now see: The world is learning a lesson about the blessings of Arab states, for their own populations and for the world at large. For the time being, that should destroy the rationale for creating another Arab state, one that is likely to be taken over by Hamas. Further, the would-be Palestinian state would of course have to be financed. The decline of the dollar economy should kill the "rationale" for that.
